Alina Ileana

Available: Monday 8:30 - 1:30 and Friday 8:30 - 1:30 and 4:00 - 6:00.


Alina is a Registered Psychologist with a background in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (University of Bucharest, Romania, 2005) with in-depth training in humanistic-experiential psychotherapy. Alina gained endorsement in clinical psychology ad psychotherapy from the Romanian Psychologists Board and the European Association of Psychotherapists and holds general registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency since 2008. 


Alina is an experienced psychologst who has been working both in the government and private sectors. Alina's fields of expertise include clincial psychology, individual and group psychotherapy, mental health, disability, dual-diagnosis, trauma, mentoring and training (parenting, clinical psychology, couple and family psychotherapy, experiential psychotherapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy). 


Alina has a passion for assisting people who have experienced life challenged which resulted in trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties with their mental health and wellbeing. She has an experiential, humanistic, strengths-based approach when working with clients, their families/carers and their broader systems. Alina works from a flexible, holistic-integrative, client-centred approach combining clinical assessment and interventions with different evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as, humanistic-experiential psycotherapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, family systems, transgenerational approach, neuro-biological approaches to trauma and attachment theory to meet the diverse needs of her clients and enable them to actively work towards their recovery and develop a meaningful sense of self. 


Alina has a strong interest in working with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds, migrants, refugees, people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from rural areas and other vulnerable populations. She is a strong advocate for human rights and social justice. 


Alina work with clients across lifespan and has expeience with: grief, loss and trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, existential crises, couple and family issues, intergenerational conflict, perinatal mental health issues, attachment issues, acculturation difficulties, difficulties regarding achieving personal goals, anger management and domestic violence, self-image and confidence, work related issues and addiction. 



Hayley Coles

Available: Monday fortnightly (alternating morning and afternoon)

Hayley is a qualified Dietitian and active member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Hayley is equipped with up to date evidence-based nutrition and dietary knowledge. She works to translate nutrition science into understandable infomration regarding food allowing people to make appropriate food and lifestyle choices. Hayley aims to provide each and every one of her patients eith individualised medical nutrition therapy; through long-term behaviour changes and self-management of treating their disease through nutrition. 


Hayley assists patients with: 

Management of all chronic diseases

All areas of weight management 

Digestive disorders - coeliac disease, IBD/IBS and reflux

Food intolerances, sensitivities and allergies

Elimination diets

Adolescents/fussy eaters

Women's Health 

Nutrient deficiencies


Hayley whole heartedly believes in treatig the patients not only the disease. She understands that each and every one of us have a unique and varied relationship with food and takes this into consideration when discussing your dietary needs with you. Hayley provides a patient-centred approach; she will work alongside you and at your pace to make nutrition related goals that are sustainable and of equal importance to you. 




Queensland Physio Group - Leigh McCarthy

APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physio, BExSc, MPhty (GE), Mphty (Sports); APA Member

Leigh completed his Exercise Science degree and Master of Physiotherapy through Griffith University. He immediately began on the pathway to becoming a Titled Sports Physiotherapist and completed his Master of Sports Physiotherapy with the University of Queensland in 2017. 

Leigh is passionate about Sports Physiotherapy. He has worked as a team physiotherapist for local, representative and state rugby union and rugby league teams as well as training athletes of all abilites and disciplines in clinic. He is committed to ongoing learning and has completed his Level 1 and 2 Sports Physiotherapy courses, AWF Weightlifting Course for Physiotherapists, a Rehab Practitioner course and a Dry Needling Course. 

Personally, Leigh has been involved in Rugby Union from a young age and maintains a strong affiliation with his local club and Gold Coast Districts Rugby Union. Since hanging up his rugby boots, he enjoys adventure racing and olympic weightlifting. 

Leigh currently works with the NRL Gold Coast Titans and welcomes opportunities to work with all individuals in assisting them in healthy living, keeping active and pain management. 


Social Worker

Elaine Evans

Elaine is a Senior Social Worker in provate practice who is a registered member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and a member of the Gold Coast AASW Social Work Practice Group. She has over twenty years' experience working in the medical, govenment and community fields. 


Pregnancy Support Counsellor

Dollores Palavra

Women who are pregnant or have been pregnant in the previous 12 months may be elligible for bulk-billed pregnancy support counselling on referral from GP. The counselling is aimed at helping to resolve issues through self exploration and understanding. Dollores is passionate about helping women in their pregnancy journey and provides unbiased and non-judgmental counselling. 

Counselling may cover areas such as: relationship issues, emotional issues (i.e., anger and guilt), mental health (i.e., anxiety and depression), domestic violence, grief and loss counselling, and unplanned pregnancies.
